As many of you know, Mr. Berry has left Alonso to teach at other another school. Many of his students miss him but are still happy for his success.
Junior Trevor Dameron says, “Mr.Berry is an amazing teacher that has helped all his students to their specific criteria of learning and he knows how to motivate his students to be their very best in the classroom. He has helped shape young minds to prepare them for their future. In return, I and many of his other students congratulate Mr.Berry for his promotion and hope his future will be as bright as he made ours.” Mr. Berry has helped so many kids with many different things; he’s always wanting his students to do better with their work and be able to understand it more.
Senior Daniel Rojas says, “I was in Mr. Berry’s Literature and the Arts class, which was a hip-hop class. I enjoyed that class and him very much as he made it fun and interesting to learn about the past and present of Hip-hop. The class itself was easy and his teaching was spot on as he hit all the criteria that we needed to know. Overall, Mr. Berry was an Amazing teacher and I am sad that he is leaving, but I am glad for his future success!” Many students loved this class because they’d be able to express themselves in music and to show how and what they’re feeling. Being in the class, you’re able to learn old and new hip-hop and able to coordinate you’re moves.
Junior Sowande Walker says, “I enjoyed the days he was here. He coached us, and I felt like he was one of the more helpful throwing coaches. I learned the most from him. He was very nice and helpful, and he encouraged me to keep going throughout the season even when I wasn’t that good. I’m going to miss him.” Mr. Berry was a track coach here at Alonso and he wanted all his athletes to succeed in what he was helping them with. He always wanted his students to succeed in whatever they were doing.
Mr. Berry was well liked here, and the school is sad he’s leaving us, but we’re very happy for him to succeed in his near future. Mr. Berry’s students and the Alonso staff will miss him because he was also happy and energetic and always wanted to keep on going. He’ll always be considered an honorary Raven.
